# Weaviate console seems to ignore OpenAI ApiKey

Hi,  
Experimenting this issue in Weaviate Search Console. It seems to ignore OpenAI ApiKey despite it goes either in Variables or Headers.

### Server Setup Information

- Weaviate Server Version: 1.24.6
- Deployment Method: Managed SaaS Cluster
- Multi Node? Number of Running Nodes: N/A
- Client Language and Version: GraphQL/Console

Hi, I’m having the same exact issue. I was about to open my own thread about this, but noticed this other thread in the suggestions.

And thanks for opening this thread, @jamonge !

I was able to reproduce this and we already pointed that to our team.

Indeed, if you inspect the network tab at the developer tools (yes, WCS console will hit your cluster directly from the bowser), I was not able to see the open AI API key being passed:
