Cannot restore from Azure

Description

Restore process fails with following error.

Same version for both source and destination (1.24.1). same number of nodes (5)

"restore class Document: write files: get files: copy file /var/lib/weaviate/.backup.tmp/Document/document/zIXXGqR7Aj19/lsm/objects/segment-1709819727821283067.db: copy: unexpected EOF"

Hi! Have you backed up and also restoring from Azure?

Do you have any outstanding logs from the nodes?

Hi @DudaNogueira ,

I tried restoring the backup couple times after failure and got all the objects in collections restored even though the response was a failure each and every time.

For me personally, creating a backup is seamless but restoring seems to have some problems. I faced similar issue in the past as well. At that time, I restored each class individually.

We are using Azure storage container to backup. Are there any recommendations to improve our experience with restores?

Are those restores being made on a clean server with same resources from source?

We usually go for GCP when it comes to backups store and doesn’t have issues, even for huge clusters.

Yes @DudaNogueira . The restore was made on a clean server with same resources as the source server.
