Tls failed to verify certificate

Recently, my weaviate node has not been able to communicate with the t2v-trasformer. It is correctly connected and linked and was working just a few days ago. However upon restarting the containers, I notice this message which I am not sure I have seen before in the weaviate logs:

{“action”:“startup”,“level”:“error”,“msg”:“telemetry failed to start: push: failed to send request: Post "https://telemetry.weaviate.io/weaviate-telemetry\”: tls: failed to verify certificate: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority",“time”:“2024-09-23T22:22:50Z”}

This is the message after the t2v-transformer container starts up and connects to weaviate. Both containers continue to run, however querying returns a connection error, which i assume because weaviate cannot vectorize the query and use to search. Is this an internal issue or an issue with weaviate?

hi @tstra !!

Are you under some sort of proxy?

This error means that Weaviate was not able to send some metrics back to us

You can disable telemetry. Check here for more information: Telemetry | Weaviate
